yesterday i discovered some very important things... unfortunately this discovery was a painful one.
so what did i discover?
1) boiling oil and water explode when added together
2) the resulting burn hurts .... alot
3) first aid for burns : cold water must be applied immediately and should be maintained (put your hand in bucket of clean cool/cold water and get to a doctor or hospital asap)
4) oil should not be poured down pvc pipes it melts the pipes and attracts grease
5) i'm very lucky that i can write with my left hand (admittedly not as well as i can with my right)

so for those few who care i have mild yet painful burns on my right hand and arm and superficial burns to my left wrist considering how close i was when the oil went boom i'm very lucky that's all i got. i'll need to change the dressings on my burns everyday but i won't need any sort of surgery so yay me....

they really should name a new level of stupid after me for this
